Meltech recently completed this important project for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for Museum Facility Integration. Inside of the Defense Intelligence Agency headquarters is one of the Smithsonian’s least accessible museums, the DIA Museum. The DIA Museum tells the story of the agency’s nearly 60 years of rooting out the world’s military secrets. However, you won’t be able to just walk into this museum, as the only way to view its clandestine contents is if escorted by a DIA employee and with permission.

Meltech completed this important project was for design, installation and control new lighting at the DIA Headquarters Missile Lobby to support the installation of exhibits prepared by the Smithsonian Exhibit Institution and a part of the DIA Museum. This task order was completed under Meltech DIA IDIQ MACC contract.

This task order was completed under the $270M 10 year Defense Intelligence Agency SABER IDIQ (HHM-402-15-D-0071). Meltech is actively servicing the Defense Intelligence Agency on recently awarded ten (10) year SABER for multi-discipline DBD, & DB projects valued between $1K – $20M. This IDIQ contract is for a broad range of maintenance, installation, repair, minor and major construction, renovation, and reconfiguration work on real property occupied by the Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters (DIAH) located on the Joint Base Anacostia Boiling (JBAB) Washington, DC and other unspecified locations of interest within Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC region. Types of projects include but are not limited to: major and minor capital improvements, alterations and interior/exterior remodeling/renovation/repairs. Project disciplines include civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, communication, intrusion/detection, audio/visual systems, and electrical disciplines, petroleum/oil/lubricants systems, asphalt and concrete pavements, masonry, carious roofing systems, earthworks and landscaping, environmental and hazardous abatement, aerial and underground utilities, power and heat generation,. The work to include various trades: carpentry, pavement repair, roofing, demolition, concrete masonry, welding, etc.
